o Rising Stars is a program that introduces skaters and their families to Club and all it entails, making the transition much easier.
o Fall session
– Oct 6 th – Dec 15 th, 2025
– Mondays, 5:00-5:50 pm on-ice session, 5:50-6:00 pm take off skates / break, 6-6:30 pm off-ice sessions (for skaters and parents)
– Cornerstone Community Center – Rink 2
o Pre-requisites: Skaters must be in LTS Basic 4 or higher
– It is recommended that skaters continue participating in LTS to ensure continued skills and level progression.
o Benefits:
– Ease the transition to Club for skaters and parents
– Advance skating skills
– Work with different coaches
– Receive coaching and mentoring from more experienced Club skaters
– Get comfortable with using Club ice (using the full ice, ice etiquette, etc.)
– Learn off-ice conditioning (warmups and cool downs, strengthening & cardio exercises, ballet, and practice jumps using the off-ice harness)
– Observe a testing session and learn about the testing process (November)
– Learn correct skate care, skate lacing techniques, skate sharpening, repairs, etc.
– Become familiar with important ice safety guidelines
– Participate in a special Christmas show number
o Off-ice sessions for parents:
– Learn about Club and all it entails (fundraising, volunteering, etc.) as well as topics such as ice safety, ice skate care, and more.
– Meet and learn from more experienced Club families
