Test Session Announcement!

The GGBFSC is hosting an in-person gold panel test session on Saturday, November 11th from 8am-6pm at the Cornerstone Community Center.

Nancy Kerrigan!

There is a clinic with Nancy Kerrigan in Escanaba! The date is Saturday, Nov 4, and the clinic will have a youth group (Basic Skills level 4+) and an advanced group (must have passed pre-preliminary singles). If you think any of your skaters may be interested, they can find registration information at www.eafsc.com, under the registration tab.

Open Skate!

The Club will be hosting 2 open Skates to fundraise! Come and join the fun and help support the club!

October 13: 6-7:20pm
November 17: 6-7:20pm
Cost will be $10/$2 for Skate Rental


 

The next session of LTS starts Nov 2. Registration opens on Oct 22.

All ice must be contracted by 11:59 pm the day before the session. If you miss that deadline and want to skate, you can use a coach’s reserve to still skate.

Reminder that a skater can skate on club ice without a coach. This is a great opportunity for practice time.

Congratulations to Leah and Molly for both getting Gold Medals in Solo Ice Dance!!

Due to increases in ice cost, the skate punches are going up by $1 to $15, effective with the Fall schedule, starting August 27. Thank you for understanding.

Thank you Sarah Schoen for all your hard work!

Our program is one of only 185 in the COUNTRY that has had more than 300 skaters go through our LTS program in 1 year!!!! There are only 2 clubs in our state that have done that! We compete with clubs in Madison & Milwaukee and achieved this in our little club!

• A number of figure skating dresses and apparel were left on the sale rack after our week long skating camp.  Those items have been moved to the coaches’ room and can be retrieved there if still wanted.   

• Black tennis shoe went missing during the camp and may have ended up in someone else’s bag. 
• Black Columbia jacket went missing. If either is found, please contact GGBFSC so we can get it to the correct owner.

We are excited to receive the Associated Bank Colleague Volunteer Grant Award on behalf of Melissa Hukriede from The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation Inc in the amount of $250. Attention All High School Skaters!!!

The informational meeting for the Greater Green Bay High School Skating Team for the 2023-2024 season will be Thursday, July 6 @ 7:30pm, upstairs at Cornerstone. 


 

Any GGBFSC Member who will be in 9th-12th grade for the 2023-2024 School Year is eligible to participate. We will be competing as a combined school team, representing numerous Green Bay area schools, as the “Greater Green Bay High School Skating Team.”

If you are interested in learning more, please attend the above-mentioned meeting. If you are unable to attend, but are interested in participating, please contact Coach Molly at mollykelly57@gmail.com.

Reminder that every family needs to raise $200 of fundraising for the year.

Would you like to try out KICKS Synchronized Skating? You are invited to attend our first Summer Skills Class free of charge to “Try It”!  
This is on Monday, July 17 from 5:45-6:50pm in Rink 1 at Cornerstone. Please reach out at kickssynchro@gmail.com if you plan to attend, or have any questions!

  • Timberline Camp & Test Session – May 18-21 (NEW: Marcie Kierpiec now joining. Her rate is $25/15 min. Lessons are first come, first serve.)
