COVID Policies and Safety Reminders
The expectation of safety for our skaters has not changed since moving to DePere. Please note the following:
- Only skaters, coaches and the scheduled ice monitor may enter the rink.
- One family member is allowed to ice monitor at the session they signed up for.
- Please enter the rink through the front entrance and exit through the side door.
- There are green signs on the doors to note which to enter and exit.
- All skaters, monitors and coaches MUST wear a mask and social distance.
- Skaters should not be in the lobby except to enter and leave the building.
- Skates can be put on prior to entering the building or in the locker rooms, if necessary.
- To access the locker rooms, turn left and go down the hallway. Take the stairs down to the locker room.
- Enter the rink from the locker room, by walking up the ramp outside the locker rooms. Go through the door at the end of the ramp.
Ice Session Etiquette & Safety
- Orange safety belts/ribbons have been issued to all skaters to keep and be reused . These are to be worn when the skater is skating his/her program to their music.
- If your skater needs a replacement belt, these are located in the bag with the cleaning spray/wipes.
Ice Monitoring
- Ice monitoring sheets will be emailed to you from ggbfscdirectors@gmail.com. Please make sure your email address is up-to-date in your Entryeeze account.
- Please reply to confirm that you have received the sheets. If your reply is not received, you will not be credited for monitoring.
- Please be at the rink door 10 minutes prior to the session to check in skaters. Skaters must be checked in BEFORE they take the ice.
- Make sure the skater is on the list for the correct date and time.
- If a skater is skating multiple sessions, check them off for all the sessions they are skating.
- Ask skaters if they are feeling well.
- Make sure the skater is on the list for the correct date and time.
- Count all the skaters on the ice to ensure everyone has gotten off and new skaters have checked in.
- Please help our skaters get used to the flow of the building by meeting skaters by the doors. Many of our new skaters do not know where the locker rooms and stairs are located or how to get to the rink once they are downstairs.
- When finished ice monitoring, please wipe down the music player area with the cleaner and paper towel.
If a monitor allows a skater, who is not on the ice monitoring sheets, to skate, the monitor will not receive credit for that session.
